Trying out a trend or making a big change in your style can be costly and most likely is not your highest financial priority. Luckily, with a little hunting through the racks, you can find practical pieces at any price point in most any store. Stores like H&M are best known for their inexpensive, "disposable fashion" pieces, but every outfit shown in this post was created in the H&M Virtual Dressing Room. These are not pieces that will last for years in your closet, but they are a great alternative when looking to incorporate a new trend.
Blazers are often some of the most expensive pieces in your wardrobe, but a fashion blazer doesn't necessarily need to have the same quality of fabric as your suiting pieces. For the $20 pricetag of the blazer shown to the left, you can afford to take a fashion risk and feel comfortable wearing it in more casual situations where it might get a little dirty.
Although the looks I have are shown with shoes, I do not recommend buying "disposable" shoes. For the price of the shoes shown here, you could get a higher quality pair on sale that will last longer and be significantly more comfortable. A store like H&M is good for fun tops to layer with, basic and casual sweaters, and trendy pieces that you want to experiment with. Remember that no matter your budget, you can look polished, classic and stylish.
All of the H&M outfits I have put together are looks I would recommend with pieces from any price point. At a higher end store it will most likely be easier to find these types of pieces, but the components of these practically stylish outfits are available everywhere.
The same careful digging that is needed at a store like H&M is also useful at many trendy boutiques. Although the price points are very different, both places focus on the new and fashionable and not always the classic. With a sharp eye you will be able to find great pieces in unexpected places.
